Mr. Askew received his bachelor’s degree in Education from Georgia Southwestern State University in 1990. While attending Georgia Southwestern he was a member of the University's baseball team, which currently participates in the Division II Peach Belt Conference. After completing 28 years with the State of Georgia, Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice, he retired as a Regional Program Coordinator. In additionally, worked 3 ½ years for Columbus Parks and Recreation as an intern in the Athletic Department and as a Community Center Director. Mr. Askew is also certified as a Georgia High School Athletic Official in basketball and baseball, and a Certified Youth Sports Administrator through the National Association of Youth Sports. Mr. Askew is married with 2 children.
