    All purchased equipment/vehicle must be picked up and removed from the property within 30 days. The UGOCCC will not be responsible for any damages which may occur after the purchase of the equipment/vehicles. After 30 days there will be an additional $10 a day charge for any equipment/vehicle that have not been removed from UGOCCC property. After 60 days, any purchased equipment/vehicles will become property of the UGOCCC, and no refund will be given.


     

    The Georgia Department of Community Affairs (DCA) launched the Georgia Rental Assistance (GRA) program in March 2021 to provide relief to Georgia individuals, families, and landlords whose finances have been negatively impacted due to the COVID-19 pandemic . The State of Georgia received $552 million from the U.S. Treasury's Federal Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERA1) and an additional $437 million under ERA2. The GRA program can provide up to 18 months of rental assistance and utility assistance, paid directly to landlords and service providers on behalf of the renter.

    Our outreach kit serves as a way to educate Georgia communities on how the GRA program can help those in need. Each item in the outreach kit is detailed below. You can learn more information, and we encourage you to share this information with your community. Click this link to download the outreach kit and read more about it below. 

    • Website: georgiarentalassistance.ga.gov – The Georgia Rental Assistance program website can answer basic questions regarding eligibility, documents required, areas serviced, etc. the most accurate, up-to-date information regarding the GRA program will be on this website.
    • Flyer:  This document provides a snapshot of the program, including basic details, how to apply, and how to contact our offices for help and information. We suggest this be distributed as broadly as possible, as it is an effective means of attracting initial interest.
    • Blogs: These blogs can help you and your renters understand program requirements, answer specific questions from tenants and landlords themselves, etc.
    • Graphics: There are several graphic sizes for you to choose from for your website or social media. It would be most helpful to link the graphics to paymyrent.ga.gov 
    • Social media: You can also use the square graphics to share information in emails and social media sites. Use the blogs or program website and be sure to tag DCA using the following accounts: Facebook: @georgiaDCA // Twitter & Instagram: @ga_dca

    Ground Maintenance Position: Parks and Recreation

     The successful applicant must be able to perform the following duties at all times:

     -Cut grass and maintain all of the parks that are under the Parks and Recreation Department

     -Must clean and maintain all restrooms and facilities that are under the Department 

    -Must be physically able to lift items (min 50 lbs) -Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license -Fix or repair any broken equipment or facility that he/she is capable of repairing 

    -Keep trash picked up in all Parks daily -Prepare baseball and football fields for games 

     -Help wherever needed

    From the Chattahoochee County Sheriff’s Office 


    We would like to clear up some miss information that is being put out. It has been brought to our attention that members of the community believe we have a suspect in custody for the arsons that happened on the 19th and 21st of November. That is incorrect information. There have been people question but no arrest has been made at this time.  Local and state authorities are still requesting the communities help with any information that they may have

    Invoices will be EMAILED out on the 1st of EACH MONTH. You are RESPONSIBLE  for PAYING your BILL EACH MONTH by the 10th as stated in the Agreement. This follows the same timeline as our Water bills. 


    For those customers who have had the service for a while now you Need to pay your overdue bill. We will begin SUSPENDING service as of January 15th, 2021, due to nonpayment.

    Changes to Burn Permit and Notification Statute with respect to Residential Burning of Leaves, Yard debris and Hand-piled Vegetation

    O.C.G.A. §12-6-90 (c) currently requires persons wishing to burn pastures, crop land residue and leaf piles to notify the Georgia Forestry Commission prior to commencing the burn. Failure to provide such notice is a misdemeanor offense under §12-6-90 (e). This statute was amended by Senate Bill 119, which goes into effect July 1, 2021. Under the amendment, persons wishing to burn pastures and crop land residue must still notify the Georgia Forestry Commission. However, persons wishing to burn leaves, yard debris and hand-piled vegetation “on the premises at which they occur” will no longer be required to notify the Georgia Forestry Commission or obtain a state burn permit. Such burns are nevertheless subject to a list of specific rules: Fires must be at least 25 feet from woodlands and 50 feet from any structures; they must be attended at all times until the fire is extinguished; and necessary precautions must be taken to keep the fire contained. These burns may only take place between sunrise and sunset. It remains a misdemeanor offense to violate any of these new provisions of the statute.

    Any person violating these provisions can be cited by any law enforcement officer without the necessity of a county ordinance making the conduct illegal. Counties are not required to adopt an ordinance requiring notice to the county of burning activities regulated by the new provisions of §12-6-90 (c).However, counties are not preempted from adopting an ordinance requiring that the county be notified of these activities so that public safety officers can monitor the fires. This is a matter of local discretion. Your county may receive solicitations from private entities offering services in this regard. Whether such private services are desirable is entirely up to your county. The amendments enacted by Senate Bill 119 do not mandate that the county take any action in this area.

    Any pre-existing local burning ordinances remain applicable. In addition, restrictions on burning in 54 northern Georgia counties under the Environmental Protection Division summer burn ban from May 1-September 30 continue to be in effect.

    The Georgia Forestry Commission has resources to assist in educating your citizens about these new changes.
